Opt-in Program
Get the protection you need with FedStar's Opt-in program on your share draft checking account. You can Opt-in to continue to receive all the benefits of our standard overdraft protection program to help you stay afloat when times are tough. Sign up through the Resources page on our website.

Third Party Payments
Just a reminder to all those members who have a payment sent to the credit union from a third party. Make sure that you the correct account number (either checking or savings) to make electronic deposits or withdrawals to your accounts.  This way your deposits and payments will be posted promptly.  If you need to initiate or cancel an ACH, please go to the web Resources page on our website.

Effective September 15, 2010, FedStar no longer mails notices of Non-Sufficient Funds, Overdraft and Courtesy Pay transactions for Share Draft Checking Accounts or Regular Share Accounts. Please review your monthly or quarterly statements or use our FREE Home Banking Module, Mobile Banking Apps or Online Bill Pay Features for activity updates.  Sign up for Home Banking today, and you can access your accounts, view checks, make transfers and more.  Home Banking, Mobile Banking and Online Bill Pay is free to members*.  (Bill Pay features are free if used at least one time in any 90-day period)

Fraud E-mail Phishing Activity Reported
NCUA Warns of Text Phishing Scam

​​ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Aug. 23, 2016) – The National Credit Union Administration has received consumer calls about a suspicious text message​ claiming to come from the agency.
The message reads: “National Credit Union Administration Alert for (recipient's phone number). Contact 844-234-5445.”

This is not a communication from NCUA. The agency does not seek personal information through the internet or on the telephone.  Please contact NCUA's Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-755-1030 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern if you receive one of these messages. NCUA also recommends contacting your credit union and local law enforcement.

You may also contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National White Collar Crime Center.
NCUA operates an online Fraud Prevention Center that offers information about avoiding frauds and scams on its​ website.
If you suspect you may have become a victim of identity theft as a result of this scam, you should immediately contact the three major credit bureaus and request a fraud alert be placed on your credit report: Equifax (888-766-0008​), Experian (888-397-3742), and TransUnion (855-681-3196).

E-Statements – Get your Credit Union credit card statement securely on line.
Want to go paperless on your VISA Credit Union card account? Now you can!
It’s easy for cardmembers to enroll in E-Statements. A new option, “Go Paperless” in
the Quick Links menu will be available after logging in . Members simply click on the link to take them to the Tools and Services page where they can change the paper statements option to E-statements and enter a valid email address. A confirmation will be sent to the email address of record! It's that easy!

Mobile Banking
Use your smart phone for more than you ever expected! FedStar Credit Union announces another great member service: MOBILE BANKING. Members can access balance information, history, transfer funds from one account to another through your smart phone device. Download the mobile banking app from the Apple or Android Store.  Additionally, members can download the CardNav app to turn your debit cards on and off, limit transaction amounts and set geographic parameters for purchases.  Both the mobile apps and the CardNav app is free!
